Thomas Orr has been named a Regional Sales Manager for Georgia-based TROX USA, Inc, the North American subsidiary of the TROX GROUP, the worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of components and systems for the air conditioning and ventilation of rooms.
As regional sales manager, Mr. Orr will support and train the company's independent distributors and will work directly with consulting engineers and architects in Canada and the Western United States who are seeking the latest and most innovative, energy-efficient HVAC systems for sustainable commercial building design.
As a certified LEED® Accredited Professional (LEED® AP), he understands green building design and the LEED® rating system and can therefore provide unique perspective and insight into the proper selection of HVAC systems for high-performance buildings.
Mr. Orr joins TROX USA from TROX Middle East in Dubai, UAE, where he served as Managing Director of both the UAE and Qatar subsidiaries of the TROX GROUP. He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of TROX products and systems worldwide and has extensive experience in many facets of the HVAC industry having served as a contracts engineer, design engineer and sales manager for prestigious companies in South Africa and as a consulting engineer in the UAE, prior to joining TROX.
He is based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Vancouver office provides TROX customers in the region with immediate and local engineering and sales support from concept to commissioning. Mr. Orr graduated with a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Durban Institute of Technology in Durban, South Africa.
