TROX USA DEDICATES NEW FACTORY & FACILITIES IN CUMMING, GEORGIA

08/21/2009

The new 36,500 square-foot factory and facilities of TROX USA, Inc. were officially opened and dedicated on August 21, 2009 by Mr. Heinz Trox, the main shareholder of the TROX GROUP — which is headquartered out of Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany.

The new TROX USA facility in Cumming is home to 35 full- and part-time employees, which are involved in the marketing, sale and manufacture of components and systems for indoor ventilation and air conditioning.

The new factory manufactures two-types of chilled beams, the DID 302 and DID 622, in addition to under floor fan terminals, raised floor diffusers and displacement diffusers.  The facility also acts as a research and test facility equipped with the latest data acquisition and measurement technologies to allow mock-up testing for the most critical room air distribution applications.

“As the green movement in America and the increased emphasis on sustainable design have grown, so to have our sales,” according to Chris Lawrence, CEO and President of TROX USA.  “TROX products are designed with energy efficiency and better air quality in mind with a firm commitment to protecting resources and the environment.”

Clients worldwide rely on HVAC solutions from TROX, to include such well-known landmarks as the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube in Beijing, China and TROX USA’s largest project to date, the installation of more than 7,000 chilled beams in the Constitution Center building in Washington, DC.

TROX USA is the North American market leader in the application of chilled beams and under floor air distribution (UFAD).
