At the end of last year, TROX Spain received a bulk order for Active chilled beams type DID300B for the new administration centre of the Spanish telephone company “Telefonica” in Madrid. More than 14.000 persons will be emplyeed in this building complex, which defines a new concept of a business park. The decisive factor for placing the order with TROX was, on the one hand, the high technical expertise and on the other hand the certainty of having in TROX a partner who is capable of executing an order of this size within the designated time. The customer could assure himself of this during a visit to TROX Head Office, which included a factory inspection and a test of the units in the airflow laboratory. Up to the end of 2006 approximately 30,000 DID300B units in three different construction variants will be produced in a manufacturing cooperation between Germany and Spain. So that the specified delivery dates for supplying several hundred units per week can be maintained, a „Telefonica team” has been formed to jointly achieve the ambitious objective. Since then both locations are working closely together with regard to the construction, order processing, procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure delivery of identical units.
