Architecture and climate - an optimal symbiosis - Trox ComBeam®

05/11/2004

In the new building of the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg, two new innovative Trox products are currently being used. In co-operation with the architect Claude Vasconi, Paris, Trox custom developed a futuristic multifunctional roof sail (MFD) for the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg.
This combines the air conditioning functions(heat, cooling, primary air supply) with lighting elements in a project-specific design. The multi-functional air and water systems of the product line offer this optimal symbiosis:Trox ComBeam®. Trox also used the LON-Powerline-Technology here for the first time – a technology for the control and monitoring of the fire protection shutters. Using this technology, the data is transmitted over power lines. The traditional separate data lines are no longer necessary. Instead, data are filtered out of the power supply at the connection to the building control systems using an appropriate routing module and sent to the display.
