TROX DID632 series active chilled beams use a combination of primary air and chilled water (above the room dew point) to provide sensible cooling to the space. They combine the airflow characteristics of ceiling diffusers with the energy saving benefits of heat absorption using chilled water. The design and positioning of the induction nozzles within the DID632 active chilled beam enhances the amount of secondary room air drawn across the internal heat exchanger meaning that high cooling outputs can be achieved with low amounts of primary air.The beams discharge characteristics also allows for high levels of cooling without the penalty of very high terminal velocities (normally associated with high induction chilled beams) into the occupied zone and therefore makes the DID632 particularly suitable for perimeter zones with high sensible loads where comfort must be maintained. The high waterside to airside cooling ratio with low primary air volume means the DID632 is ideal for use with dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) designs.
Benefits
¹Based on room height of 10 ft and occupied zone height of 3.5 ft
²Compared to Trox DID622-HC active chilled beam
