Brief Description
The AS-i controller (AS-i master) must basically perform the management functions. This means that it initialises the AS Interface network, identifies all bus subscribers, creates error diagnoses, and outputs the corresponding messages.
- Network for management functions
- A single master can manage a maximum of 31 slaves, while a double master can manage a maximum of 62 slaves
- Communication interfaces (gateway functions) to parent display units or control systems
- Integrated software for fire protection and ventilating systems

Function and interfaces
The AS-i master device also controls data transmission to the bus line and cyclically polls data from all slaves.
The controllers provide interfaces (gateway functions) to higher-order central processing units or control modules. These interfaces allow the masters to connect and standalone systems to be set up without the need for any tie-in to a central processing unit.
Software
The TROXNETCOM Basic user software has already been integrated into the standard version of the TROX AS-i controller types TNC -1303 to 1306. This software is used to cover the most important basic functions in fire protection and ventilation systems. In various variants, it lets you commission stand-alone systems or large networks without software adaptations.
Special functions can be implemented without a problem on the basis of standardised program modules.
The scope of functions and use of the TROXNETCOM Basic user software are described in the manuals in detail.
